In regards to the Aorus Elite AEPM PG5, we can write about a higher-end PSU as they will be coming to stores with the 80 Plus Platinum efficiency certification. Meanwhile, the ATX 3.0 standard is supported, so a cable with a 16-pin connector designed for more powerful GeForce graphics cards will be included. Also notable is the sleeker-than-usual design of the grille in front of the fan.

Under the Gigabyte – Aorus Elite – brand, which is already well-established within other product categories, there will also be new ATX-format computer PSUs. At 140mm in length, these PSUs are among the shorter ones, and one of the eye-catching features is the rather unconventional but practical grille. Its structure is made up of concentric circles with differently wide openings. Naturally, the circles themselves get larger from the center towards the edges, but compared to other solutions, their spacing between each other also increases. It increases towards the edges, which is useful from the point of view of cooling efficiency. This is because the emphasis is on larger openings at the points where the air pressure is greatest.

The magnetic panel with the Aorus logo may also be visually appealing to some. The color of its neon print is supposed to change interestingly depending on the viewing angle.

Due to the 80 Plus Platinum rating, the efficiency of the PSU can be expected to be above standard, which puts it in the upper mid-range in this respect.

The operation of the 120 mm fan that cools the PSU is semi-passive.
