One of the new features of the DeepCool liquid coolers that are about to go on sale will be new fans. Lighted Fans (ARGB). These will make their debut on the LP series liquid coolers. But the pump is new as well, and overall it looks like it may be a nice evolution of liquid coolers with ARGB fans and a lighted CPU block. One of the strengths of the block is a display with more large pixels that can be customized in different ways.<\/p>\n

Traditionally in two formats \u2013 360 and 240 mm \u2013 DeepCool announces new liquid CPU coolers. These fall under the LP series header. The cooler with the larger radiator has three 120-millimeter fans, the smaller one has two.<\/p>\n

We’ll get to the fans themselves and discuss them in more detail, now on to the coolers’ block. It is square, formed by a grid, where there are 14 pixels in each axis. And it should be noted that they are large pixels. Thus, due to the relatively large area, the display is characterized by a chunky raster. But this is intentional, DeepCool wants to use this to differentiate itself from the “normal” competing designs. In addition to temperature, it is also possible to display load percentages (CPU or GPU) on two lines above each other. Or you can also reach for a custom image sent to the display via the DeepCool DeepCreative<\/a> app.<\/p>\n

The cooling efficiency is then also based on the pump’s capabilities. The one used is of the latest, fifth generation. This pump first appeared in early 2024 in the DeepCool Mystique liquid coolers<\/a> (which we’ve also tested<\/a>). The maximum speed of the pump is 3400 rpm. In the picture below you can see its cross-section, or the individual parts that make up the pump in DeepCool LP liquid coolers. The coldplate (far right) is made of copper, the radiator is aluminum. One can only hope that the galvanic corrosion retarder is effective enough to keep the cooler working reliably for many years.<\/p>\n

And now to the fans. These carry the FD12 ARGB PWM designation and are unlike the FC120<\/a> models used to date. The milky impeller which is good at guiding lighting remains, but what has changed is the shape of the blades. With the new fans (FD12 ARGB PWM) the blades are shorter, but they cover a comparable area with similarly small gaps between them.<\/p>\n

In other words, the FD12 fans could vibrate less while maintaining equivalent airflow through the radiator and also be quieter per unit of airflow because their tonal peaks could be lower. However, this is just a theory and only detailed tests will show how it really is. And that means both the fans themselves and the DeepCool LP liquid coolers as a whole (i.e. fan + radiator + pump).<\/p>\n

The DeepCool LP360 and LP240 coolers will be available starting November 25, 2024 for an MSRP of 140 EUR and 120 EUR respectively. These are the variants in black. The arrival of white ones is expected only in April 2025. This information primarily applies to the Czech market, but will also apply to other markets.<\/p>\n
