According to the most recent information and changes published by the company, noticed by VideoCardz, Noctua is postponing not only the Pulsar Feinmann gaming mouse collaboration, but also the planned Seasonic PRIME PX HPD Noctua Edition PSU project, both now scheduled later than originally announced. However, the most painful delay for brand loyalists is likely the black (Chromax) variant of the popular NF-A12x25 G2.<\/p>\n

Noctua later adjusted this first estimate\u2014in the roadmap version from September last year\u2014by shifting the release to the first quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n In the current January roadmap, the release of the black second-generation 120 mm fans has been moved further to the second quarter.<\/p>\n The delay of the Chromax NF-A12x25 G2 means that those looking forward to the black version of this top-tier fan<\/a> for their black builds will have to wait several more months. This is not unusual for Noctua, as the company routinely iterates its plans\u2014whether due to perfectionist fine-tuning or changes in supply chains\u2014to ensure that a release cannot in any way be described as a so-called paper launch.<\/p>\n As mentioned in the introduction, the upcoming power supply developed in cooperation with Seasonic is also being delayed. This is not the first such PSU, and previous collaborations have already proven successful. However, this particular project is special due to its dimensions, with a depth of just 125 mm, making the PSU truly exceptional. It is likely the smallest ATX-form-factor power supply ever released under the Seasonic brand. The use of a Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 fan optimized for the lowest possible noise and efficient airflow, combined with Seasonic\u2019s innovative OptiSink\u2122 cooling technology, means the unit will not only be compact but also acoustically attractive.<\/p>\n The power supply of course also supports a semi-passive mode with complete fan shutdown under typical loads, ensuring silent operation. Based on previous experience, however, it is fair to predict that even once the fan spins up\u2014or with semi-passive operation disabled\u2014the PSU will not be acoustically intrusive. The PRIME PX HPD model, however, is intended to become a more accessible, more modern, and above all more compatible alternative, whose shorter length will fit far better into smaller cases and SFF (Small Form Factor) projects. For enthusiasts and system builders seeking a balance between performance, space, and acoustics, the PSU\u2019s 125 mm length is a crucial factor. This is precisely why its delay on the roadmap is particularly disappointing. One can only hope this shift is the last.<\/p>\n We can afford to speculate that three other roadmap delays\u2014the Noctua Edition Pulsar Feinmann mouse, the 140 mm desk fan, and the USB fan controller\u2014are not as critical.<\/p>\n On the other hand, despite these delays, development of Noctua\u2019s first AIO (all-in-one) cooler remains on track and without changes to its planned release. At Computex 2025, Noctua presented a functional AIO prototype based on the Asetek platform, with a strong emphasis on acoustic comfort and performance, using NF-A12x25 G2 fans with carefully engineered vibration damping. Chromax fans will need to wait a bit longer, as will enthusiasts of PSU products (Seasonic) and peripherals (the Pulsar mouse). However, the liquid-cooling project and the special-edition Antec Flux Pro case remain firmly on schedule. For the silent-cooling community, this means perseverance and patience\u2014but also a signal that even conservative Noctua is expanding its horizons beyond its traditional domain.
