The first round of the hardware conference is successfully behind us. At the Secondary Technical School in Poprad<\/a>, students had the opportunity to see the latest processors, motherboards, coolers and many other components, while getting involved with both their knowledge and practical skills. We are documenting how they did in a short article with photos that try to convey at least some of the local atmosphere.<\/p>\n

The \u201cdress rehearsal\u201d for HWCooling Techtour<\/a> \u201926 took place in the gymnasium at the Secondary Technical School in Poprad<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite the chosen terminology (\u201cdress rehearsal\u201d…), this was a full-fledged conference that will serve to fine-tune the final details before the nationwide broadcast, which you can also be part of. In any case, our team training in Poprad is successfully behind us. The students competed and demonstrated not only their theoretical knowledge, but also their skills in assembling a computer system. More precisely, in installing a cooler (DeepCool AK620 Digital SE<\/a>) on a processor (AMD Ryzen 9600X<\/a>) in an Asus motherboard (TUF Gaming B850-Plus<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Axagon<\/a> then tested how well everyone could manage opening its ID card reader. This is the basic and important first step toward anything that follows and for which the device is intended.<\/p>\n

The team from Tich\u00e9PC<\/a> then demonstrated the production of first-class power supply cabling.<\/p>\n

In Martin, in addition to the cameras, there will also be an online quiz for contestants participating remotely and liquid nitrogen. It will be used to overclock a Ryzen processor on some ROG motherboard.<\/p>\n

And yes, you will have everything in Slovak. Although the AMD and DeepCool presentations are originally in English, one of the available audio tracks will be interpreted.<\/p>\n
