HWC puzzle (2022): Can you guess what’s in the photo?

Competition rules and conditions

Remember the series of picture puzzles from a few years ago? We’ll come back to them a little bit, or rather to their format. This time, however, it will not be anything regular, but a one-off event where one of the solvers will be rewarded with two Noctua NF-A12x25 LS-PWM fans. And why these? You’ll soon find out… but you may have already guessed, if you were able to identify which fan the detail in the photo at the head of the article belongs to.

It’s simple. The cover photo of this article shows part of a fan and we want to know what fan that is. The model range will suffice, as (and we’ll help you out a bit now) this fan exists in different speed variants and has even had multiple brands alternated on it. There are therefore multiple product designations that would match the cutout in the macro photo.

You can send us messages with your guesses to info@hwcooling.net with the subject HWC puzzle (2022) until 13 September 2022. We will then draw one of the correct answers and reward them with a pair of new Noctua NF-A12x25 LS-PWM fans.

You can enter from anywhere, we don’t use any geographical restrictions and we will send the Noctua fans listed to one lucky winner wherever necessary. The winner will be announced at the end of the fan test, which will be released on HWCooling.net on 9/15/2022. So take a good look at the photo above and let us know what this iconic 😉 piece of work is called.

Enermax contest bonus: You’ll also get fans with the PSU

The ongoing contest for Enermax PSUs is now even more attractive. You can also enter for fans, which we will be happy to add to the package for the winner. And also for free. In their case, we don’t even require them to be paired with the main build (with the Enermax PSU). You can use them as you see fit in some other computer where they will do a better job than gathering dust on the shelves of our testlab. Want an extra short ATX PSU? Enermax is giving some away

In cooperation with Enermax, we are organizing an activity where you can win one Revolution D.F. 12 PSU in any variant. 750 W or 850 W? Black, white? It doesn’t matter, whichever you choose for your build. The only condition is that you make the best use of its unique feature in the form of an extra short design. These are the shortest PSUs in the ATX format, and in this case, they also feature the latest ATX 3.1 standard. Read more “Want an extra short ATX PSU? Enermax is giving some away” »

Your CPU is Rocket Lake or older? Write us for a 400W cooler

We’d be happy to give someone, whom it will help, an unconventional Zalman liquid cooler. The Reserator 3 Max Dual will definitely have a nice collector’s value someday, but it will have to wait for retirement. It may not support the latest platforms anymore, but it is still well equipped to run in many PCs with relevant performance for today. And it has the cooling performance to handle very high power Core i9-class processors as well. Read more “Your CPU is Rocket Lake or older? Write us for a 400W cooler” »
