Through gradual evolution and refinement, Endorfy (formerly SilentiumPC) Regnum cases have progressed from the low end to the other side of the spectrum, to the peak. The “400” model with RGB lighting already costs over a hundred euros, but you don’t just pay for attractive visuals. There are up to four fans, three of which are behind a well ventilated mask. But we also came across things that can still be improved. Read more “Regnum 400 ARGB – The most equipped Endorfy case in test”

DeepCool CH510 Mesh Digital: Temperatures right under your nose
If you like to monitor the temperatures of your components, we have a tip for you to take your temperature monitoring to the next level. The new CH510 Mesh Digital has a small display on its front to show the current temperature of select hardware. But just monitoring isn’t enough, you also need to take action to lower the temperatures, and in that the case itself falls a little short. Just one pre-installed fan may not be enough. Genesis Irid 505F: On to cooling with five fans
Among new cases, the Polish company Genesis is also making a statement by upgrading the older Irid 503 and Irid 505 cases. One of these new models, which we will now focus on in our tests, is the Irid 505F. This one is remarkable in that it comes with as much as five fans, which is quite unusual. Especially in the class of cheaper cases to which the Irid 505F belongs. Read more “Genesis Irid 505F: On to cooling with five fans”
Fractal Design North Mesh: Case like a piece of furniture
North: a case that is designed to be closer to the modern home. In some places, Fractal Design has replaced plastic and metal with wood and faux leather. The tested variant of the North case, with the additional Mesh designation, not only has a perforated front, but also the side panel, which makes new cooling options available. In addition to the factory configuration, we will also test the case with fans in non-traditional positions. Read more “Fractal Design North Mesh: Case like a piece of furniture”
Evolveo M5: A PC case for the undemanding user (test)
Lower price usually goes hand in hand with lower quality materials or overall poorer build quality. This also applies to the tested Evolveo M5. With this case, you will come across a few places where the manufacturer has clearly skimped, but as long as you define yourself as a lower-end user, you’ll most likely be fine. The main advantage here may be the attractive price that probably won’t break the bank for you. Read more “Evolveo M5: A PC case for the undemanding user (test)”
Fractal Design Ridge: A small puzzle for adults
The latest hardware from the Swedish company is a case for Mini-ITX boards. However, thanks to the sensible interior layout, it is also possible to mount larger components. Their cooling is taken care of by the ubiquitous perforation of the outer plates and two 140 mm fans. With or without them? You’ll have to decide what you want to cool more effectively. We measured four different scenarios in our tests. Read more “Fractal Design Ridge: A small puzzle for adults”
The Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact Lite RGB case test
There is no let up in the downsizing of cases and it goes on. Now Fractal Design has worked on a simpler version of the Meshify 2 Compact, to which we gave a rare editorial award a while back. The skeleton of the case has remained the same, the materials used have not changed, but in some places, cuts have been made. And in other places, improvements have been added. In our analysis we have looked at the case in the Lite RGB variant. Read more “The Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact Lite RGB case test”
Modecom Volcano Amirani ARGB test: Better without protection
The Amirani ARGB is a larger case, the second in our office to be fitted with oversized 200mm fans. So there will be no shortage of cooler air from the surroundings, although the case has a kind of double filter and the position of the second one is quite unusual. And consider that the remote control is not only used to regulate the lighting as it is usually possible, but also allows for speed control. Fractal Design Define 7 Mini: Even the soundproof case now smaller
Fractal Design has apparently decided to roll out all of their cases in smaller designs as well. The latest in compact designs is the Define 7 Mini, which fits a Micro ATX motherboard. Even though the dimensions have shrunk, they haven’t cut corners in other ways and this new case maintains a high quality standard. The kind of quality we are used to with Define series cases. Fractal Design Pop Air (RGB) review. Dullness aside
The Pop series is a new range of cases from Fractal Design. Pop is divided into two categories, Air and Silent, and these into three size variants. We received the Pop Air case, which is the middle sized model. It is the only one in the series to offer a wide choice of colour options. The Pop Air has a perforated front panel, and cooling should be more efficient as more of the mask area is open. Read more “Fractal Design Pop Air (RGB) review. Dullness aside”
Fractal Design Meshify 2 Lite RGB and Meshify 2 RGB review
Recently, Fractal Design has been introducing cases like clockwork. Today, a model from the well-established Meshify 2 series has come out. The new product is with the RGB attribute, but also noteworthy is a cut-down version with the Meshify 2 Lite (RGB) designation with a cheaper price. What the original version had to give up to create the Lite version, we’ll show you in a comparison of the two cases. Read more “Fractal Design Meshify 2 Lite RGB and Meshify 2 RGB review”
Lian Li Lancool II Mesh Performance: Modularity first
Lian Li Lancool? Lian Li is historically known for using more aluminium than its “steel” competitors. Lancool, on the other hand, was at a time a separate brand for, say, cheaper Lian Li derivatives. But what does a “Lian Li Lancool” Mesh Performance look like? The name promises an emphasis on cooling, but the case is also characterized by the extra modularity of the individual parts. MSI MPG Velox 100P Airflow: Cooling in the first place?
Velox 100Ps are some of MSI’s newest cases. In the Airflow variant (Velox 100P Airflow), it has a heavily perforated front, which is something we are interested in at HWCooling. The case is one of the more expensive midi-towers and doesn’t lack tempered glass or ARGB lighting. Naturally, though, our tests were mainly considering the design, equipment and cooling, since this Velox has the Airflow in its name. Fractal Design Torrent: When other cases just don’t cut it
Recently, Fractal Design introduced the Torrent case, which primarily focuses on the best cooling possible. In addition to a significantly open shell, the case has up to five fans, two of which are oversized and thick. The Torrent thus operates with an extremely high air flow, even in a relatively large space. Therefore, it will be interesting to see in the tests how these layouts affect the temperatures and noise performance. Read more “Fractal Design Torrent: When other cases just don’t cut it”
Test of a PC case Antec P82 Silent: Silent sequel
Antec recently expanded its mini series of P82 PC cases with a model Silent. This should be a quieter alternative to the P82 Flow with priority in the best possible cooling, which will probably be worse with the Silent, but the reward could come in the form of low noise. You can see how this solution worked in the following test. We will show you the bright sides but also the cons of the P82 Silent. And not just in terms of cooling.
