Nvidia to cut GPU production by 20%—RTX 5070 Ti going MIA?

Recently, we reported that Nvidia has likely canceled the new GeForce RTX 5000 Super graphics cards planned for this year, and that the wait for the 6000 generation will also be long, as it is expected to arrive only in H2 2027. For gamers, the situation may get even worse, as the company is now reportedly reducing production of currently available graphics cards as well. A resulting shortage could then push retail prices higher. Read more “Nvidia to cut GPU production by 20%—RTX 5070 Ti going MIA?” »

GeForce RTX 5000 Super not coming, Blackwell refresh plan shelved

It is widely known that the AI boom has triggered massive DRAM shortages—including GDDR6 and GDDR7. Unfortunately, it appears that one of the consequences will be the cancellation of new gaming graphics cards Nvidia had planned for this year. The so-called “Super” cards were expected to be expected at CES 2026, but that did not happen and according to sources from Asia, Nvidia has completely halted the plans. New GPUs Delayed Due to AI: RTX 5000 Super Not Until Q3 2026

This year’s AI boom—or bubble—has caused shortages of NAND flash, SSDs, DRAM, and even memory for graphics cards. Price rising is reportedly even accelerating. It seems this situation could also disrupt the gaming graphics card market. Throughout this year, reports piled up suggesting Nvidia would likely release an updated GeForce RTX 5000 Super series next year with larger memory capacities, but this plan may have fallen through. Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Gaming OC 16GB: Price Feels Dated

When the RTX 5060 Ti launched, we tested one of Gigabyte’s cheaper Eagle models. Today we’re looking at the better-equipped RTX 5060 Ti Gaming OC from the same manufacturer. It uses a larger cooler and is quieter at the same temperatures. The price uplift over the base models is modest, and prices across brands are nearly identical. Even so, it faces stiff competition from Radeons, which are highly attractive alternatives. Read more “Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Gaming OC 16GB: Price Feels Dated” »

GB10 or N1X? Nvidia’s Arm Superchip Packs RTX 5070–class GPU

One of the major tech announcements expected this year was Nvidia’s entry into the CPU market for PCs and laptops with its own Arm-based N1 and N1X chips. While they didn’t show up at CES or Computex, Nvidia introduced something else instead — the GB10 processor for AI systems, developed in partnership with MediaTek. Interestingly, the N1X might use identical silicon. Nvidia has now revealed its specs, giving us a better idea of what to expect. Read more “GB10 or N1X? Tweaking GeForce RTX 5070: Overclocking, Undervolt and Cooling

Prime GeForce RTX 5070 from Asus is a solid base for further tuning. We’ll test the options GPU Boost offers. We’ll measure how core and memory frequencies affect performance. We’ll also look at how the power limit influences the card’s behavior and how fan speed affects temperatures and clocks. Finally, we’ll add tips on lowering power draw while keeping performance, or boosting performance at similar power draw. Read more “Tweaking GeForce RTX 5070: Overclocking, Undervolt and Cooling” »

GeForce RTX 3080 vs. RTX 5080 Thermals: Normal or Overheating?

Nvidia surprised many by changing the boost limits on the new GeForce RTX 50 series, removing the option to set a temperature limit during overclocking. Now, only the power limit is adjustable, and specs list only the GPU’s maximum temperature. We’ll look at how this affects GPU Boost compared to the RTX 30 series, what happens to clock speeds and performance when limits are hit, and how to tell if your GeForce is overheating. Asus TUF GeForce RTX 5070 Ti: 2× Noctua NF-A12x25 Deshroud

A few days ago, I tested how repasting affects the thermals and noise of Asus’s TUF GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. Today, we’ll take it a step further. We’ll take advantage of the fact that the card’s design allows easy removal of the shroud and and mount different fans directly onto the heatsink—in this case, a pair of Noctua’s classic NF-A12x25. We’ll measure how the noise profile changes while keeping temperatures under load the same. Read more “Asus TUF GeForce RTX 5070 Ti: 2× Noctua NF-A12x25 Deshroud” »

Asus Prime GeForce RTX 5070 White O12G Review: Revisited

A few weeks ago, I tested the classic black version of the Asus Prime GeForce RTX 5070. It stood out for its combination of very good thermals and acoustics and an attractive price. However, one of the fans was lower quality, making the card noisier than it should have been. I decided to retest it with the white version. The good news is that the fan issue didn’t recur. As for overall noise levels, though, there’s still not much improvement. Read more “Asus Prime GeForce RTX 5070 White O12G Review: Revisited” »

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5060 Gaming OC 8GB: 8 GB Is Tight

The GeForce RTX 5060 and 8 GB RTX 5060 Ti have come under the heaviest fire in Nvidia’s new RTX 50 series. Still, many customers go for them – whether by choice or budget.
