Fans, coolers, cases. These are the primary topics for which we’re looking for someone active—someone who follows the news and enjoys informing others about it in a punchy yet information-rich way. The basics are therefore clear, and if reliability—specifically meeting deadlines—is added to that, then it’s exactly what we’re interested in. If you see yourself in this, get in touch and maybe we’ll come up with something together. Read more “Join the HWCooling team! We’re looking for a news report writer”

Project cancellations: Fan encyclopedia scrapped
There are a few things we’ve previously said were in the works at HWCooling that, in the end, are unlikely to materialize. This isn’t anything dramatic, nor something we promised in a way that would harm anyone, but at least looking ahead, it’s unrealistic that we would not only complete some projects, but even have the space to properly start working on them. Let’s go through them one by one. Read more “Project cancellations: Fan encyclopedia scrapped”
Help out by joining discussions (in comments) under articles
Whenever it occurs to you that you have a way to expand an article on HWCooling, or you perceive the presented topics from additional perspectives, we will be glad if you let us know. Ideally in the form of contributions that can be published. This way, you share your ideas with others as well, which will also be useful to them. Provided the discussion on a given topic proceeds in a constructive spirit, certainly. Read more “Help out by joining discussions (in comments) under articles”
A look ahead, or a small forecast for 2026
This year (2026) will be a “cooling” one in terms of activities on the website. That means a broader focus (than so far) on cooling-related topics, especially fan testing. That is our plan, and you will see the reality for yourselves. In addition, there is HWCooling Techtour ’26—conferences at secondary schools, which represent a major responsibility and commitment going forward as well. What is not on our roadmap? Idleness. Everything that was achieved this year. Thank you! :)
This year was exceptionally rich in terms of the activity we managed to generate. In various directions—whether on the magazine side or beyond it, reaching into school classrooms. The goal is to help create value in this field as well (in schools). At the same time, it is always extremely important what we are able to accomplish within our journalistic work itself. And there were quite a few milestones that were surpassed here, too. Read more “Everything that was achieved this year. Thank you! :)”
Our website got an update: Here’s what to do if something seems off
We’ve upgraded our website to a new version of the content management system (WordPress 6.x). Upgrading to the new version should bring better responsiveness, fix some bugs, and result in faster page loading. As part of the upgrade, we updated the existing templates, so some parts of the website may not display correctly. In most cases, these issues are caused by outdated cached data in your browser and can be resolved by clearing your cache. Commenting on HWC is working again, give it a try
The loss of interactivity on HWCooling.net appears to have been resolved. Commenting, registration, and many other activities should now work again. We’d appreciate it if you could try it all out and let us know if it does. The short-term issues with otherwise standard web functions were caused by an outdated content management system. That system has now been updated, and internally, we haven’t encountered anything that doesn’t work. Read more “Commenting on HWC is working again, give it a try”
We’re aware and working on it. Technical issues on HWCooling
Our most active readers have noticed that it’s not possible to submit comments, log in, or register on HWCooling.net. Yes, these are the current issues the website is struggling with. And they’re giving us headaches too – we definitely want to fix them as soon as possible. Of course, we’re not indifferent to the situation and are working on a solution as much as our time allows. On the “reader-only” level, everything should be fine with no major limitations. Read more “We’re aware and working on it. Technical issues on HWCooling”
Thanks for being with us! We’re not slowing down in 2025
We are at the end, or, the beginning. It depends on how we look at it, whether from the perspective of last year or the new year (2025). In any case, at this moment it is important to express our gratitude for the support of all those who care not only about our magazine, but above all about making computer hardware knowledge move up the priority list. In this article, we will briefly look back at the past and also take a little look into the future. Read more “Thanks for being with us! We’re not slowing down in 2025”
HWCooling polo shirts? Yes, and a few pieces for you too
If you like things associated with your favourite brand, you might be interested in our polo shirts with HWC logos. They were primarily created for the HWCooling Techtour events as “pinnies”, but we have a few left over. Whether there will be enough for the biggest fans remains to be seen. Anyway, you can now purchase polo shirts and support the operation (and development) of HWCooling.net magazine. Read more “HWCooling polo shirts? Yes, and a few pieces for you too”
Welcome, Adam! 18 years of experience in graphics card testing
Join us in welcoming Adam Vágner on board HWC today. Of the authors I know, he’s the most experienced with graphics cards. That’s what he’ll be covering. Thus, graphics card testing will be taken over by a tester who’s been doing it for a long time (and intensively). This is the approach we pride ourselves on and will continue to do so. There are plenty of “experts in everything”, but true specialists are slowly disappearing from the map. Read more “Welcome, Adam! 18 years of experience in graphics card testing”
Returning to PC case tests (comment on methodology)
Probably as early as next month, in September, we will release an analysis of the first case that will go through our new testing methodology. We already have a rough outline of it and we would like to present to you what we are going to do and how and why we are going to do it. This is also to give you a chance to comment on things you might think are missing that we could easily incorporate into the standard concept. A few fans are missing to 70. What will the future bring?
It went by so quickly. Only recently we painted 2023 as the “year of the fan.” In the end, it didn’t work out as expected, but you don’t have to worry that we’ll slack off on that front, quite the opposite. Fan testing is a key topic for HWCooling, we just need to plan all things more sensibly (realistically, so that they can be done). But no excuses. The big goals, which drive us forward, remain for 2024. Read more “A few fans are missing to 70. What will the future bring?”
Do you want to help HWCooling? Discuss (constructively)
If you take the time after reading one of our articles and feel like leaving a comment in the discussion, we’d love to hear from you – you’ll be supporting us more than you might think. Of course, the bottom line is “having something to say” and the main goal is to increase the value of the articles through your comments. Feel free to oppose our claims or you can confirm them from your experience. Read more “Do you want to help HWCooling? Discuss (constructively)”
The results of the spring competition. Air 2:2 Liquid
The voting is over and we know the names of the victors. Sharing and support on social networks played a significant role, so PR got a little boost too. Of course, it was on every participant where and how they promoted their rigs. We are pleased that the score between the air systems and liquid systems is equal. Although the absolute winner is a liquid cooling configuration. Read more “The results of the spring competition. Air 2:2 Liquid”
