Join us in welcoming Adam Vágner on board HWC today. Of the authors I know, he’s the most experienced with graphics cards. That’s what he’ll be covering. Thus, graphics card testing will be taken over by a tester who’s been doing it for a long time (and intensively). This is the approach we pride ourselves on and will continue to do so. There are plenty of “experts in everything”, but true specialists are slowly disappearing from the map. Read more “Welcome, Adam! 18 years of experience in graphics card testing”

Returning to PC case tests (comment on methodology)
Probably as early as next month, in September, we will release an analysis of the first case that will go through our new testing methodology. We already have a rough outline of it and we would like to present to you what we are going to do and how and why we are going to do it. This is also to give you a chance to comment on things you might think are missing that we could easily incorporate into the standard concept. A few fans are missing to 70. What will the future bring?
It went by so quickly. Only recently we painted 2023 as the “year of the fan.” In the end, it didn’t work out as expected, but you don’t have to worry that we’ll slack off on that front, quite the opposite. Fan testing is a key topic for HWCooling, we just need to plan all things more sensibly (realistically, so that they can be done). But no excuses. The big goals, which drive us forward, remain for 2024. Read more “A few fans are missing to 70. What will the future bring?”
Do you want to help HWCooling? Discuss (constructively)
If you take the time after reading one of our articles and feel like leaving a comment in the discussion, we’d love to hear from you – you’ll be supporting us more than you might think. Of course, the bottom line is “having something to say” and the main goal is to increase the value of the articles through your comments. Feel free to oppose our claims or you can confirm them from your experience. Read more “Do you want to help HWCooling? Discuss (constructively)”
The results of the spring competition. Air 2:2 Liquid
The voting is over and we know the names of the victors. Sharing and support on social networks played a significant role, so PR got a little boost too. Of course, it was on every participant where and how they promoted their rigs. We are pleased that the score between the air systems and liquid systems is equal. Although the absolute winner is a liquid cooling configuration. Read more “The results of the spring competition. Air 2:2 Liquid”
“Modern desktop based on Mini-STX” by HWCooling.net
It’s strange, but desktop computers have been stagnant for over twenty years. In most cases, they are still built on the ATX standard in “oversized“ towers. From a rational point of view, however, such a concept should be marginal and replaced by SFF. A traditional PC can be tiny, powerful, and silent at the same time. And its equipment does not have to limit you. Read more ““Modern desktop based on Mini-STX” by HWCooling.net”
Competition – Winter 2017: The winners + thanks!
Here are the results. And this time without any testing of hardware. We have analysed your effort and chosen the winner whose contribution was the best. Also, there are three lucky persons that were randomly selected. Others who participated will have another chance to win something very soon, we promise. A big thanks to everybody for the support (also to people that did not participate in the competition)! Read more “Competition – Winter 2017: The winners + thanks!”
Competition – Winter 2017: Chance to win some interesting pieces!
Thanks to the support of Gigabyte, Akasa, Noctua, and EKWB, you have the opportunity to compete for prizes at HWC for the first time. To make things interesting, we chose atypical components from various “worlds“. Mini-STX motherboard, the large liquid cooling kit, Noctua NH-D15 with the unconventional colour coating Chromax… or would you prefer a passive case? From now on, we also test performance of CPU and iGPU
We’ve decided that it would be reasonable to put some performance tests to our reviews of all products that have some computing power. We will keep focusing on operational features and we will continue to analyse them in depth, of course. We are just adding a general illustration of performance for better orientation so you do not have to look for it elsewhere. Read more “From now on, we also test performance of CPU and iGPU”
Thank you for your support! (+ looking ahead)
Time flies by really fast. Two weeks have passed since we launched our web and so far it has been viewed 30 000 times, which is absolutely amazing for a new magazine! Your support and feedback is our motivation to work hard. We know that the content does not expand as quickly as you would like it to, but be sure that we are doing everything we can to make it up to you as soon as possible. HWCooling.net: “Performance can have many forms…“
Once upon a time…nevermind. We have decided to be your guide in the world of computer cooling in a form of detailed comparative tests, procedures that emphasize precision, and unique outputs from different areas. Everything about the intentions and philosophy of the new magazine’s work is described in this initial editorial the way we like it – briefly.
