You may know the Cypriot company operating under the name Valkyrie from our tests. We’ve reviewed several of their coolers and a fan. There’s little to criticize about the products themselves, but as they admit – prices need to come down. If that happens, many of their components, including PC cases, may suddenly start looking much more appealing. Valkyrie showcased exactly what’s on offer at the Taipei exhibition center.
You can never have too many noteworthy coolers, cases, and fans. But for any product to succeed, the pricing has to be right. Valkyrie is well aware of this and plans to respond accordingly.
Here are a few interesting things we learned in a booth-side conversation: Different markets receive different components depending on what users want. In the East, performance is a priority regardless of noise (even high noise levels are tolerated), whereas Western markets demand quieter cooling solutions and don’t require massive ARGB lighting. That’s the basic market research Valkyrie uses to tailor its product availability across the globe.
Currently, the company is focused on expanding further into Europe, where one of their goals will also be offering an attractive price/performance ratio. Time will tell what succeeds and what doesn’t – this is just a general insight into how availability differs by region. In our domestic CZ/SK market, availability is currently low to non-existent, but that could change sooner or later.
At Innovex 2025 (a smaller-scale exhibition next to Computex), Valkyrie mainly showcased coolers and cases. These included both illuminated versions and ARGB-free concepts. That doesn’t mean they were all dark – there were white variants, for example, of dual-tower coolers.
Water blocks usually featured displays. Some of the coolers had fans with fully illuminated rotors, while others used ARGB only in the frame, with non-light-transmitting impellers. That’s the case with the X12 fan we reviewed some time ago. Also worth mentioning: Valkyrie is behind the LCP (liquid crystal polymer) fans. These aren’t available as standalone products yet, but they are part of the V360 liquid cooler. One note: Valkyrie’s pumps are reportedly manufactured in-house – a claim not many can make.
Cases followed the display trend too, with nearly every one featuring some kind of screen. These were often located on the lower side panel, next to the longitudinal chamber (typically reserved for installing the PSU and storage drives).
Although it’s been a while since our last Valkyrie product test, that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten the brand. On the contrary, we’re working on something and hope to bring it to completion. Things have been quiet for a bit, but soon we’ll likely bring you more technical insights into products from this Norse mythology–inspired brand.
