We’ve upgraded our website to a new version of the content management system (WordPress 6.x). Upgrading to the new version should bring better responsiveness, fix some bugs, and result in faster page loading. As part of the upgrade, we updated the existing templates, so some parts of the website may not display correctly. In most cases, these issues are caused by outdated cached data in your browser and can be resolved by clearing your cache.
The most common cause is data stored in the cache or cookies in your browser. If you encounter problems with page display or specific elements, you can try the following steps:
1) Hard Refresh the Page
- Windows / Linux: Ctrl + F5
- macOS: Cmd + Shift + R
- Mobile browser: Tap ↻ or pull down the page until the loading spinner appears.
If this works, you’re all set.
2) Clear the Cache
If you want to clear data just for hwcooling.net, in Chrome/Edge/Brave click the lock icon to the left of the address bar and select Cookies and site data. Select the site adress and click recycle bin or Remove, or in Firefox click the information (i) button → Clear cookies and site data. On Safari (iOS/macOS), go to Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data, find hwcooling.net, and tap Delete.
A more aggressive method is to clear all cached data from all visited sites. This will not remove saved passwords or bookmarks.
Computer
- Chrome / Edge / Brave: Ctrl + Shift + Del → “Cached images and files” → Clear.
- Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + Del → “Cache” → OK.
- Safari (macOS): Safari ▸ Preferences ▸ Advanced ▸ check Show Develop menu, then Develop ▸ Empty Caches.
Mobile
- Chrome (Android): Menu ⋮ → History → Clear browsing data → “Cached images and files”.
- Safari (iOS): Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data.
3) Clear Cookies (Last Resort)
