Offering a choice between two color variants (a light one in addition to the dark) is a trend that Endorfy is also responding to. The very first, completely white fans to be created under this brand are the Stratus fans with ARGB lighting. These are available in both a smaller (120 mm) and a larger format (140 mm). We have tested both fan variants in black, so there is a functional performance baseline to reference.
The new addition to Endorfy’s portfolio are the white Stratus (ARGB) fans. These actually appeared earlier, in the Arx 700 Air White ARGB case—but they are now coming to the retail market separately. According to the press release information, finding a suitable shade took a long time. This shade now exists, and we can likely expect more white fans (and possibly other products overall, if they plan to expand to, for example, CPU coolers) to be added gradually. For now, it’s the Stratus fans, which categorically belong to the low-end segment.
Unlike the more expensive Fluctus fans, the Stratus models do not have the “notches” on the leading edges of their blades, but that’s just a detail. The Stratus 120 PWM ARGB fans (EY4A020), and respectively the 140mm version with the White suffix (EY4A021), are also supposed to be quiet. We know from our own tests about the attractive price-to-cooling-performance ratio of the black variants (in both formats—120 mm and 140 mm), and it will presumably be similar for the white fans. Although the tonal peaks might be slightly different because a different material is, after all, used (compared to the black variants) with a different structure. However, this is something that most of the users who could be considered the target audience for such inexpensive fans probably won’t analyze.
The smaller size format is slightly faster, and according to official specifications, it tops out at 1400 RPM. For the 140-millimeter fans, the upper speed limit corresponds to approximately 1200 RPM. The minimum (or starting?) speeds for both formats are advertised as 200 RPM (via PWM?).
It should also be noted that these new Stratus White fans are illuminated variants in both formats. This means they have ARGB LEDs, to which the white material also reacts effectively. This material reflects the (LED) light more efficiently than the black one, and these new fans, put simply, shine brighter.
