Noctua NH-L9i-17xx: Only 37 mm tall and 65 W in silence

Results: Maximum performance

Very low profile, high cooling performance and Intel LGA 1700 support. These are demanding requirements that Noctua NH-L9i-17xx meets as one of the few coolers (maybe the only one?). The first two requirements could probably be argued about in others, but in the end it still comes down to the support for Intel’s new socket. Moreover, the NH-L9i-17xx outperforms even coolers twice its size, including the Arctic Alpine 17, with the right settings.

Results: Maximum performance

Why is there a missing value in the chart? The reason was that the cooler could no longer handle the load in the specified mode. However, the box coolers cannot be regulated to the lowest noise level of 31 dBA, because the whining fan motor starts to make significant noise at such low speeds.

New Liquid Freezer (III): Better contact and compressor from a plane

Arctic says that historically, it can’t recall a product receiving more user interest right out of the gate, just after release, than the Liquid Freezer III coolers. But no wonder. In addition to efficient fans, they bring several features to enhance cooling performance. The latter is not only high, but also very affordable. Arctic has put the coolers on sale with a rather large, still ongoing discount. A 360-millimeter variant for under 80 euros? Mystique 360: The first of next-gen DeepCool AIOs

In a move marked by broader changes, DeepCool is releasing the Mystique line of liquid coolers. Of the main things that affect cooling efficiency, the design of the pump, coldplate, and fans have all been affected. The attractiveness is also supposed to be enhanced by the addition of a brightly colored display for monitoring CPU activity, for example. Price-wise, Mystique coolers are among the cheaper ones when compared to similarly equipped competitors. Read more “Mystique 360: The first of next-gen DeepCool AIOs” »

BeQuiet! Dark Rock Elite – The new king of coolers?

I will start this year’s cooler tests with a real treat. I’ve prepared a review of the Dark Rock Elite cooler, the absolute top of BeQuiet!’s range. This is a premium cooler offering very high performance at low noise levels thanks to its sophisticated design in combination with high-end fans. I’m very curious to see how it performs compared to the high-end coolers I’ve had the opportunity to test over the past year. Read more “BeQuiet! Dark Rock Elite – The new king of coolers?” »
