What’s the game about (and for)?
The Silent Gale P12 fans didn’t get a lot of “kudos”, which is a bit of an injustice considering their features. Certainly, MSI is not one of the established fan manufacturers and at the same time the price is set boldly high. But you don’t have to care about that now, and you can get a set of some of the best 120mm fans for free. All you have to do is write what you would use them for and also have a little bit of luck.
For what…
In collaboration with MSI, we have prepared a contest for HWCooling readers to win a set of four Silent Gale P12 fans. From our tests you know that they are among the top in their format (120 mm). Their technical success is built on the efficient geometry of the robust LCP blades. In addition, a silent motor is used, so they have all the prerequisites to run very quietly even at lower speeds.
The MEG Silent Gale P12 is a versatile fan that always works efficiently (including on a radiator) regardless of the application, which is also reflected in our tests. Given the lower availability in stores, these fans could perhaps be quite rare, even outside the circles of die-hard MSI fans.
… and how you play
To enter the contest for these fans you need to send a message to info@hwcooling.net with the subject „I have a use for the Silent Gale P12“ and specify in its body exactly for what you would use the MSI fans. For someone they may end up on a radiator, for another as a replacement for the original system fans you got with a case.
There are a lot of possibilities, for example for different combinations – one fan for a cooler heatsink, three for system cooling. For completeness, mention in the contest message also on which radiator/heatsink or in which case you see them. Not so that we can evaluate who will find more use for them and who will find less, but so that we can be sure that they will actually be used. All entrants will be in the draw and the winner will be decided by a random number generator.
The deadline for entries is 28 July 2023 (11:59 PM, CEST) and the contest has no geographical restrictions. You can participate from anywhere in the world. The winner will then find themselves announced in a note below this text as of July 29, 2023. With only vague, incomplete identifiers, of course.
