DeepCool comes with cheap “ARGB” cases for smaller PCs

DeepCool CC360 ARGB and CC360 WH ARGB

It’s remarkable what DeepCool has managed to get into the new CC360 (WH) ARGB cases, which have a retail price of just 55 EUR. It comes with three lighted fans and you also have the option of installing a powerful cooler (including a 360mm liquid cooler). The only thing that won’t fit are ATX motherboards. Support is up to MicroATX format, and DeepCool is thus looking to expand the lower tower case segment, in which there is relatively little choice.

Attractive cases for low-budget builds, where mATX boards fit very well, are like saffron. If you come across some, they probably either aren’t cheap enough (to match low-end hardware) or their design features some compromises in support, or they only contain one fan.

The most significant limitation of the fresh DeepCool CC360 (WH) ARGB cases is that they are only compatible with up to MicroATX motherboards. But there are quite a few of those among the cheap ones and even those usually, in terms of expandability, far exceed the needs of simple builds. And that’s exactly what DeepCool’s new products are aimed at.

The format is a tower-shaped case with dimensions of 418 × 215 × 431 mm (38.7 l), where the largest dimension is the height. There are two variants, the CC360 ARGB in black and the CC360 WH ARGB (that is, with the attribute “WH” – White) is white, and this includes the interior.

Design-wise, these cases are based on the CC560 ARGB, which has a similar front panel in addition to a very similar layout. The former is also now, on the CC360 (WH) ARGB, heavily perforated, with a square pattern. On the sides again, to the height of the case. The vents are thus at the points where the highest pressure is achieved at a short distance from the fans. From the point of view of achieving the highest possible airflow at the lowest possible noise, this is a good move.

Unlike in the CC560 ARGB, however, different fans are used (other than the very decent FC120) with blades shaped at a significantly larger angle and also with a smaller leading-edge curvature. In terms of efficiency it will be a worse choice, but if these fans are cheaper, then considering the overall price of the case, DeepCool will easily justify them. Moreover, when up to three fans are pre-installed, two intake and one exhaust. Their format, by the way, is 120 mm and the “milky” rotor is lit from the middle by RGB LEDs. All in all, this can be a suitable choice for, say, novice gamers. Mainly, then, these are inexpensive cases, and children, for example, will also like them visually because of the lighted fans.

At the front, behind the front panel, it is still possible to install a large liquid cooler radiator with a 360 mm radiator and, alternatively, a 165 mm tall cooler with heatpipes. Graphics cards can be up to 320mm in length, which will still work out for high-performance graphics cards (the Sapphire RX 7900 XT Pulse is 313mm long, for example), and from the GeForce RTX 4070 downwards, there will be some headroom for mounting as well.

There are three positions for 2.5″ internal storage units between the right side panel and the motherboard tray. Two drawers are then reserved for 3.5″ units at the bottom, in the tunnel where the power supply is also installed. The latter is supported in ATX format with a length of up to 160 mm.

In terms of connectors, the CC360 (WH) ARGB includes two USB ports of 3.2 gen. 1 and 2.0 standards. On the top panel, there is one more 3.5mm jack (shared, for connecting both headphones and microphone with one cable) and two buttons – one to start the computer (power) and the other (LED) to control the fan lighting effects/colours.

Availability in stores is planned for July 2023 and the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, as already mentioned, is set at a “popular” 55 EUR.

    1. So we have an official statement from DeepCool. Fans in CC360 cases are not daisy chained.

  1. bought the black version for a budget build , hope its a bit decent in terms of quality
we really need more budget / mid budget Matx cases , not many decent ones out there specially here in europe
i did hear the SSD mounting points behind the motherboard don’t line up with the SSD screw holes on some of these

    1. On that last sentence: From our own experience, we cannot confirm or deny that all the holes for mounting 2.5″ storage drives fit in the CC360 case. DeepCool does not have such feedback from users and the hole spacing should always be fine.
