We’ll look at how the performance-tuning profiles in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition affect the behavior of Gigabyte’s Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC. We’ll show a simple way to overclock the GPU both manually and automatically using the basic presets, how to undervolt it, and how to adjust the power limits for overclocking. Tweaking Asus ROG Astral RTX 5080: Cut the Noise and Power Draw
Last week, we took a look at the Asus ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 OC Edition. It has a powerful cooler, but by default, the fan control pushes speeds high, and card is anything but quiet. ClockTuner for Ryzen auto-tunes performance and power draw
Overclocking and tweaking performance on Ryzen is not an easy thing because, compared to the automatic boost, it cannot often squeeze too much extra and silicon does not have large reserves. But if you are not satisfied with a “stock” processor, you will now be able to use automated OC. The new ClockTuner tool will allow you to automatically undervolt Ryzen 3000 CPUs or automatically overclock them, separately for both CCX blocks. EKWB EK-FB MSI X299 + X360: more than 500 W, VRM below 60 °C
For LGA 2066, liquid cooling is more beneficial than for any other platform before. Especially for Core i9-7980XE. Compared to EKWB full cover monoblock with a decent engine and evaporator, even NH-D15 looks like a dwarf. Not only does the liquid cooler open up for higher frequencies, but it also significantly improves the operating features with settings that can be barely handled by conventional coolers. Skylake-X is a significantly more flexible generation of high-end processors than the previous one. Not only because of an unprecedented performance, but also thanks to a more reasonable consumption. Let’s take a look at the impact of different CPU settings on performance and functional features. These tests revealed also how economical can a configuration be with a more efficient cooling.
