Nvidia kept the launch of the GeForce RTX 5060 – successor to the popular GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 4060 series – for Computex. It wasn’t exactly quiet, but the launch was unusual – drivers enabling reviews weren’t released until Monday evening, after sales began. Likely due to backlash over the RTX 5060 still offering only 8GB of memory, four years after the 12GB RTX 3060. As a result, it’s faced a fairly cold reception.
Clocks, Temperatures & Fan Speeds – F1 24 (P mode)
The following set of tests come from the F1 24 benchmark at 3840×2160 resolution with Ultra settings. The measurement consists of five laps on the Singapore track in wet conditions. Unlike other benchmarks, this one applies continuous load—there’s no drop in GPU usage between loops, so the card stays fully warmed up throughout.
Clock speeds differ only slightly compared to Cyberpunk. Once warmed up, the card holds steady between 2805 and 2820 MHz, averaging 2813 MHz.
According to monitoring (light green line), the card’s power draw is even lower than in Cyberpunk—at just 135.5 W.
The average temperature of the warmed-up GPU stays below 60 °C, with memory temperatures about the same.
Fan speeds reach up to 1440 rpm, corresponding to 34.2 dBA. Even in Performance mode, the card is quieter in this test than most products you can buy—but it’s worth noting again that the GPU is running 20 W below its power limit.
Indicators suggest that GPU boost clocks are being limited by the voltage cap.
