Nvidia kept the launch of the GeForce RTX 5060 – successor to the popular GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 4060 series – for Computex. It wasn’t exactly quiet, but the launch was unusual – drivers enabling reviews weren’t released until Monday evening, after sales began. Likely due to backlash over the RTX 5060 still offering only 8GB of memory, four years after the 12GB RTX 3060. As a result, it’s faced a fairly cold reception.
Clocks, Temperatures & Fan Speeds – Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition (P mode)
The next set of results comes from the Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition benchmark, run at Extreme settings in 3840 × 2160 resolution.
This is the first test in which the frame rate is higher and the GPU reaches the power limit.
As a result, the clock speeds are somewhat lower, ranging from 2700 to 2812 MHz, with an average of 2757 MHz.
The GPU power draw now remains steady at the set power limit of 155 W and the total system power consumption increased to 252.1 W.
Once again, both GPU and memory temperatures are low—the GPU stays below 61 °C, and the memory only occasionally peaks at 62 °C.
The maximum fan speeds are somewhat higher due to the GPU running at full load—reaching up to 1662 RPM. At these speeds, the measured noise level is 37.0 dBA, which still puts the card among the quieter ones.
