AMD conquers Intel territory: Ryzen 5 5600 vs. Core i5-12400(F)

In the cheaper mid-range of processors, only Intel has been involved in recent years, gaining a lot of popularity in the segment of the cheapest Core i5s. AMD Ryzen 7 5700X: A much more efficient CPU than the 5800X

At the eleventh hour, but still. The long-awaited Ryzen 7 5700X is here. However, we won’t be writing about the successor to the Ryzen 7 3700X as a significantly cheaper alternative to the Ryzen 7 5800X. The new octa-core Ryzen 7 5700X is primarily more economical compared to the higher-end model. Its power draw is just half in some tasks, which means that temperatures are also significantly lower. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D, AMD’s new processor aimed specifically at gaming is now on sale. Based on the reviews, it seems that the 96MB 3D V-Cache it touts really helps in games significantly. Zen 4: SP5 socket and 5nm AMD Epyc with 12 CPU dies pictured

Recently, the first test or sighting of a sample of AMD’s 5nm processor with the new Zen 4 architecture appeared on the Internet. Now we also have the first photo. And not only the processor, but also the silicon – a delidded 96-core Epyc 7004 “Genoa” has made it to the Internet. Surprise in HEDT CPUs? Intel reportedly preparing Alder Lake-X

Intel is expected to release a new platform of high-end processors based on the Sapphire Rapids Xeons server CPUs this fall. BIOS bugs inflate Pentium G7400’s power draw by up to 100 %

First test of Zen 4 in Geekbench, Cache capacities confirmed

Last week, alleged leaks painted the future high-end Ryzen 9 processor lineup in AMD’s upcoming 5nm CPU generation. Now an actual sample of Zen 4 has surfaced – someone tested it in Geekbench and the result made it into the public database. Sometime in the second half of the year, AMD should finally release the new AM5 desktop platform with DDR5 memory after six years of AM4 socket (which premiered in 2016). Ryzen 7 5800X3D with V-Cache is locked, impossible to overclock

This week AMD announced the April release of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, claimed to be “the ultimate gaming CPU” (at least amongst Ryzen processors, we’ll see if it beats Intel’s 12th-generation Core). However, this CPU has one flaw for enthusiasts – it’s been confirmed that it is not overclockable. AMD has revealed that this is an unfortunate side effect of the 3D V-Cache, the company reassures us it’s not cracking down on OC as such. Test of the AMD CPU with the biggest price drop, the Ryzen 7 5800X

Why did we ignore the Ryzen 7 5800X for a long time and only add it to our tests now? Because it had a higher price, which made other models more attractive. However, thanks to AMD’s recent CPU price cuts, the R7 5800X will have its place in the market even after the release of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D with 3D V-Cache. More new budget AMD CPUs, including the quad-core Ryzen 3 5100

AMD is now preparing a sort of mid-generation refresh of its CPU and GPU offerings – Ryzen 5000 and Radeon RX 6000.
