Commenting on HWC is working again, give it a try

The loss of interactivity on HWCooling.net appears to have been resolved. Commenting, registration, and many other activities should now work again. We’d appreciate it if you could try it all out and let us know if it does. The short-term issues with otherwise standard web functions were caused by an outdated content management system. That system has now been updated, and internally, we haven’t encountered anything that doesn’t work.

Naturally, we were aware of the system’s outdated state. But as is often the case, we didn’t address something that “was working” – until it stopped working. Over time, we began encountering various errors while using the CMS, which later escalated to problems like being unable to add comments, register, or log in – even on your end as readers. Many other issues were also linked to the outdated platform on which HWCooling is built.

Now, after the update, everything should be back in order. Although some things have been successfully fixed, it’s possible that others are still not working properly. That’s something you could help us identify by testing. With your user-level access, you know the site better than we do. And if you share feedback on whether everything you’ve been using works fine or if there are still lingering issues, it will definitely help – not just us, but also you and other readers.

So if you have a moment, please go through what you usually use, and feel free to let us know via message at info@hwcooling.net or by leaving a comment under this article. That will immediately tell us one important thing – whether commenting is really back online. 🙂

HWCooling moderator? AI spam in comments is increasing

If you want to help the magazine, you can. With the number of various automated advertising comments increasing, we would gladly expand the team with a colleague who would moderate them. This would, of course, save us time that we can invest into articles. And it doesn’t have to be only about deleting comments. Any initiative that leads to a higher technical standard for HWC is welcome. Read more “HWCooling moderator? AI spam in comments is increasing” »

Join the HWCooling team! We’re looking for a news report writer

Fans, coolers, cases. These are the primary topics for which we’re looking for someone active—someone who follows the news and enjoys informing others about it in a punchy yet information-rich way. The basics are therefore clear, and if reliability—specifically meeting deadlines—is added to that, then it’s exactly what we’re interested in. If you see yourself in this, get in touch and maybe we’ll come up with something together. Read more “Join the HWCooling team! We’re looking for a news report writer” »

    1. Thank you for your feedback! After switching to the new RS, we’ve noticed a few issues that we’re still working on fixing. Fortunately, they should all be minor and shouldn’t significantly impact the overall user experience. We’re happy that interactivity has returned to the site and you can comment again.

If anyone comes across any bugs or issues, please don’t hesitate to let us know. 🙂
