Cooling Topics at HWCooling Techtour ‘26 Belonged to DeepCool

Do you know how a heatpipe works? A DeepCool representative, in a talk at HWCooling Techtour ‘26, looked under the hood. In other words, he explained much of what often remains hidden. This included how they approach development and what they work on internally. That, too, was part of the program, which you can watch. The physical samples, which were also on display, come only at the very end of the whole journey.

You know DeepCool as a maker of coolers, fans, and PC cases. These components were also discussed at the HWCooling Techtour ‘26 conference. That is, how they work and how they are made, and you can learn a great deal from the block of talks led by the DeepCool representative.

We give kudos for the elegant explanation of the principles behind heatpipes. The presentation also covered the vapor chamber used by DeepCool coolers (the Assassin VC Elite cooler, for example, was on site).

DeepCool also shared the laboratory knowledge on which it bases the design of individual constructions. Above you have some screenshots, but for the complete picture you can find them together with commentary in the recording directly from the conference.

How a CPU Cooler Works. Intended for Secondary Schools

The purpose of a CPU cooler is to transfer enough heat away from the processor so that it can operate within its optimal parameters, for example clock speeds. These are only achieved within the expected range if the processor, in combination with the cooler being used, does not heat up more than is desirable for achieving attractive performance. Yes, everything usually revolves around speed, but that is also associated with factors such as power consumption. Read more “How a CPU Cooler Works. Intended for Secondary Schools” »

Computex 2026: New Hardware Outside the Main Spotlight

Computex is not just for the industry giants. Alongside major manufacturers, smaller brands regularly showcase unconventional designs and innovative engineering to capture attention. Some of these concepts prove to be developmental dead ends, while others pioneer features that later integrate into mainstream products. Even if not every innovation succeeds, many certainly deserve recognition. Read more “Computex 2026: New Hardware Outside the Main Spotlight” »

DeepCool AK700 Digital NYX: Single Thicker Tower (with a Display)

A relatively thick tower and as many as seven heatpipes. The fin surface area of the DeepCool AK700 Digital NYX is quite large, even though it is cooled by a single fan. This may be attractive for those who prefer tower coolers (typically over liquid coolers) but still want the best possible memory compatibility, which many dual‑tower designs obstruct.
