While the more powerful GeForce RTX 50 models face no direct competition, AMD has positioned two strong contenders against the RTX 5070—the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. Both offer slightly better value and more memory. Your choice depends on whether you need a graphics card purely for gaming or also for professional applications, and how reliant you are on Nvidia’s broader, more polished ecosystem with proprietary technologies..
F1 24, Ultra 3840 × 2160, BIOS Quiet
The next tests are from the F1 24 benchmark at a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels with Ultra settings. This benchmark includes five laps on the Singapore circuit in wet conditions. Unlike other benchmarks, this is a sustained load, with no drop in load between loops, and the card is warmed up.
The difference in GPU clock speeds is slightly larger, with the average clock speed hovering around 2786 MHz. However, this only translates to a performance difference of 0.4 frames per second.
Power consumption is again just a few watts below the set limit.
And the temperatures are a few degrees higher, but it’s still nothing that would force the card to throttle.
The fan speeds and noise levels remain excellent despite the slightly higher temperatures.
