Asus TUF GeForce RTX 5060 8GB OC Review: If 8 GB Is All You Need

Nvidia kept the launch of the GeForce RTX 5060 – successor to the popular GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 4060 series – for Computex. It wasn’t exactly quiet, but the launch was unusual – drivers enabling reviews weren’t released until Monday evening, after sales began. Likely due to backlash over the RTX 5060 still offering only 8GB of memory, four years after the 12GB RTX 3060. As a result, it’s faced a fairly cold reception. Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Eagle OC 16GB Review: Minimalism

Thanks to the lower power consumption of the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and the use of more compact printed circuit boards in the new GeForce RTX 50 series, Gigabyte offers cards with a unique design in the WindForce 2X and Eagle model lines. Their PCB extends only halfway along the PCIe slot. This allows the use of a compact dual-fan cooler with an unobstructed heatsink behind the rear fan, which delivers excellent cooling performance for its size. Gigabyte fixes PCIe lanes issue on boards with GeForce RTX 50

Two weeks ago, we published an article about issues with PCIe 5.0 slot speeds on newer graphics cards in certain motherboards. After powering on the PC, the slot often failed to initialize correctly, causing graphics cards to start with fewer active lanes than expected. With the new GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, the card was booting in PCIe 5.0 x1 or x2 mode nearly every other time. Gigabyte investigated the issue and addressed it with the F5a BIOS update. Asus Prime GeForce RTX 5070 12GB OC Ed. Review: Great Value

The Prime series is one of Asus’s newer product lines, aimed at budget-minded customers. Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 Gaming OC Review: Quiet on Cue

GeForce RTX 5070 Gaming OC 12G represents a mid-range model from Gigabyte’s RTX 5070 lineup. Asus TUF GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB OC Review: Great, but Pricey

The top model of the RTX 5060 Ti currently available from Asus is the TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB OC Edition. Although its power consumption isn’t particularly high, it comes with a large triple-slot cooler (30 cm) that easily manages the 180W load, keeping GPU and memory temperatures at 70 °C with fans running at just 1000 RPM and staying whisper-quiet. It also offers a dual BIOS and other premium features, but these come at a steep price. Read more “Asus TUF GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB OC Review: Great, but Pricey” »

GeForce RTX 5060 Ti PCIe Lanes Problem: Do You Have This Issue?

While testing the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, I encountered a recurring issue with active PCIe lanes. On PCIe 5.0 motherboards, the card often fails to run in x8 mode even in a x16 slot, starting instead in slower x1, x2, or x4 modes. The same behavior occurred across three RTX 5060 Ti models from MSI, Gainward, and Asus. The issue likely stems from how these motherboards handle compatibility with PCIe 5.0 graphics cards using eight lanes. Read more “GeForce RTX 5060 Ti PCIe Lanes Problem: Do You Have This Issue?” »

Gainward GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Python III 16GB Review: Solid Base

While most manufacturers focus on more expensive models, Gainward also puts effort into graphics cards for customers who value performance per dollar over premium features. And even though its basic models can’t match the noise or temperature levels of pricier cards with coolers twice the size, they often hold their own against mid-range models. The same goes for the RTX 5060 Ti Python III, priced at a suggested 429 USD. Read more “Gainward GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Python III 16GB Review: Solid Base” »

MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Gaming OC 16GB Review: Small but Mighty

Nvidia yesterday introduced the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti in 16GB and 8GB versions, along with the more affordable 8GB GeForce RTX 5060. Today the embargo lifts, and here’s our first review of the RTX 5060 Ti—the MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Gaming OC 16GB. This 180W card is fairly efficient and only needs a dual-fan cooler to deliver excellent thermals and acoustics. The price, however, is less appealing due to the current market situation. MSI GeForce RTX 5080 Suprim SOC Review: Top of the Line

The GeForce RTX 5080 Suprim SOC features a vapor chamber cooler just as massive as the one found on the 600W RTX 5090 Suprim SOC. With this extra cooling capacity, the fans on the more efficient RTX 5080 can run at lower speeds, resulting in excellent thermals and minimal noise. However, this high-end cooling solution also drives up the price—you’re paying a premium for one of the best factory-overclocked RTX 5080 cards available.
