Intel (2024), Nvidia (2025), and AMD (2026). Over the years, we managed to bring representatives of very large companies to Slovak schools, for which we are grateful. That goes for the schools, the university production team, and the self-governing regions as well. We believe we accomplished something useful, but this trilogy has crossed the finish line. In any case, where something “old” ends, a new episode or series begins.
The first edition of HWCooling Techtour took place in more intimate settings, where, together with Intel (processors) and Gigabyte (motherboards, but also PC cooling components), we visited three secondary schools. In order, these were in Žilina (Secondary Vocational School of Electrical Engineering), in Martin (Secondary Industrial Technical School), and finally in Liptovský Hrádok (Secondary Vocational School of Electrical Engineering).

We believe these were attractive conferences, and even here there were competitions for valuable prizes, whether a processor, a motherboard, or an AIO liquid cooler. For these schools, too, we produced posters with a breakdown of PC components, and we left behind physical samples of items that, if I remember correctly, had not passed quality control. That has no effect on their use for teaching purposes, however. The main thing is that students got an idea of what everything looks like in its current, modern guise.
After positive feedback from the participating schools, the second edition took place at Stará Turá Secondary Industrial School, and two days later we were in Martin again to carry out a live broadcast for schools connected online. Not only Nvidia but also HWiNFO truly gave this event an energy that sent shivers down the spine. Martin Malík, thank you for coming and speaking. We deeply appreciate this initiative.

And for the third time, 2026, in which, besides a larger number of schools and school types (religious schools, art schools, grammar schools… everyone who has an “IT” subject and is interested joined), the decision was also made to provide interpreting for foreign speakers. Endorfy (2025) was still purely in English. For the nationwide conference in Martin, the participants prepared at Poprad Secondary Vocational Technical School.

HWCooling Techtour is gone, but we will continue our efforts at schools. In a somewhat different way, perhaps with better preparation, we will see. There are certainly some shortcomings, let us call them that, in the current model. Something useful has already been achieved, though, for which we also thank the self-governing regions, which paid for the production of large-format posters with a breakdown of thematic components which were provided for the participating schools. In cooperation with company representatives, we gave them the “professional foundation,” but they would not have come about had we lacked the funds for them. Thank you for the trust. Thanks also to Datacomp (2024 and 2025) and TichéPC (2026), whose team also showed how cabling for a PC power supply is made.
