The Ventus 2X OC model with 8 GB of memory is the most affordable GeForce RTX 5060 variant from MSI. It features a compact dual-slot cooler with a length of 20 cm, making it suitable even for small-form-factor cases. The cooler is slightly louder than average due to overly high fan speeds, but it has sufficient headroom for manual fan speed reduction. But with 8 GB of memory, compromises are necessary in the most demanding games.
Noise level, operating characteristics—F1 24
The next tests come from the F1 24 benchmark at a resolution of 3840 × 2160 with Ultra settings. This test uses five laps on the Singapore track in wet conditions. Unlike other benchmarks, this is a continuous load, with no drop in load between loops, and the card remains warmed up throughout.
In the measured interval, the warmed up card holds a clock speed between 2685 and 2707 MHz, with an average of 2696 MHz.
According to monitoring, power consumption at 131.3 W (light green) again stays just below the 145 W power limit. Average total system power consumption is 236.7 W.
The average temperature of the warmed-up GPU peaks at 70.2 °C, while memory reaches 66 °C.
Fan speeds reach around 1890 RPM. However, the card is running about 13 W below the power limit at unplayable frame rates; at the lower resolution in the next chapter, fan speeds and noise are higher.
