AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 MASTER 16G sits at the top of Gigabyte’s air-cooled RTX 5080 lineup. The side LCD on the cooler shroud stands out, and the box even includes a fourth fan. Build quality is robust and premium, and the stock overclock is higher than you usually see on OC variants. Not everything is perfect, though—the out-of-the-box fan tuning could be better, and those extras do push up the price.
Cyberpunk 2077, RT Medium, 3840 × 2160 (Silent)
The first set of measurements comes from the Cyberpunk 2077 benchmark using the RT Medium preset at 3840×2160. It consists of eight loops. The final run is highlighted, and the average for the warmed-up card is calculated from that run.
In Quiet mode, the clocks and performance are nearly the same; the differences are in fan speeds and thus temperatures.
The frame rate dropped by only 0.3 fps, and measurement error also contributes to the difference.
With the GPU at operating temperature, the core clock ranges from 2,880 to 2,910 MHz, averaging 2,898 MHz, so the temperature-related drop in frequency is negligible.
The card’s power draw, according to the monitoring (light-green data series), sat slightly higher at around 355.9 W.
The power draw of the entire PC, measured with a UT71E multimeter, is shown in dark on the chart. Under load, the system averaged 497.8 W.
GPU temperatures stay below 72°C and memory at 72°C.
The fan speed dropped to 1100 rpm during pauses between tests, and at maximum, it increased slightly with gradual warming up with each test loop, reaching 1270 rpm at the end.
