MSI’s Gaming series cards no longer sit at the top of the company’s lineup—they’ve now moved into the mid-range segment. Still, they offer an excellent mix of features and performance. A card like the GeForce RTX 5070 is likely to be popular among gamers, as it should handle sub-4K gaming comfortably for the next few years and remains relatively affordable. Let’s see how the RTX 5070 12G Gaming Trio OC compares to other models we’ve already tested.
Clocks, Temperatures & Fan Speeds – F1 24
The next tests are from the F1 24 benchmark at 3840 × 2160 resolution using Ultra settings. This benchmark runs five laps on the Singapore map in wet conditions. Unlike other benchmarks, the load is continuous, with no relief between loops, so the card remains warm throughout.
Clock speeds differ only slightly from the Cyberpunk test. The warmed-up card maintained clock speeds between 2760 and 2797 MHz, averaging 2780 MHz.
Power consumption, as monitored (light green line), again stayed close to the 250 W limit.
Average GPU temperature under load peaked at 60 °C, with memory temps the same.
Fan speeds reached up to 1740 RPM. While not especially loud at this speed, they could have comfortably run slower.
The power consumption graph suggests the card might be limited by the power cap, but monitoring data points more to the GPU voltage being the limiting factor.
