DeepCool also brings new ARGB fans to Gamescom (2024)

DeepCool booth: cases, coolers, fans and PSUs

Starting August 21, DeepCool, among others, will be among the vendors at Gamescom 2024. There will be a lot of cooling hardware at their booth that you haven’t been able to come in contact with yet because it’s not sold yet. But now you can come and see live, for example, fans from the FT or FD series (with ARGB LED) and a good attraction is also the Assassin IV VC Vision and many more, still shrouded in a veil of secrecy.

For those of you who will be in Cologne, Germany, between Wednesday (Aug. 21) and Friday (Aug. 23), we’d like to draw your attention to the Gamescom event. There are probably more reasons to stop by, even if you’re just passing by, but in this article we’ll focus on just one. Namely, the DeepCool booth, which will feature a number of attractive components that we’ll go over in detail later in our tests, but for now, the only way to get to them is at Koelnmesse GmbH Messeplatz 1.

In the hall 2.2 (C042), DeepCool will also show visitors the CG580 case with support for ATX motherboards, for 360mm radiators and long graphics cards, which will be perfectly in view. Due to the two panels (front and traditionally side) being glass, this case is in the “panoramic” category.

The CH560R case will also represent a non-traditional concept. This one in turn mainly with the support of BTF motherboards (don’t overlook tests of the Asus TUF B760M-BTF WiFi D4), which are characterized by connectors on the backside. The CH560R will respond to these with cut-outs in the tray with sufficient offset from the rear side panel to allow cables to be stored anywhere at all. SFF fans will in turn be interested in the CH160 Mesh ITX or CH170 Digital ITX case equipped with a display to monitor probably CPU and GPU temperatures, utilization or clock speeds. We’ll find out in the tests, you can already find out at the DeepCool booth.

Something for very small cases is also coming from CPU coolers – the top-flow model AN400. And then a display is also coming to high-end coolers AK620 Digital Pro or Assassin IV in the VC Vision variant. You can get an idea of the cooling performance from the test of the “base” model (Assassin IV).

And if you’d prefer an AIO liquid cooler, you can check out the Mystique 360 (we’ve also tested this one) or 240 with ARGB LED. Apparently, at least the 360mm variant will be available with a white radiator and white fans in addition to black. The new fans are also going to be sold separately. We’ve already written a separate article about the FT models, but obviously it won’t stay “just” with them. DeepCool’s Gamescom press release also mentions the FD series, specifically the FD12 and FD14 fans with ARGB LEDs. These 120 and 140 mm fans are shown in miniature not only in black, but also in white.

PSUs? Two series with the ATX 3.1 standard (i.e. with a 16-pin 12V-2×6 connector for graphics cards) in physical ATX (PN-M) and SFX (PX-S) formats with sustained power up to 1000 W.

And it’s possible that DeepCool will surprise you on the spot with some colorful mosaics of Pixel bits. These can be used to visually enhance case grilles. Although yes, in terms of cooling performance and throttling airflow, it’s a bit barbaric. 🙂

BeQuiet! Dark Rock Pro 5 – A suitable successor to a legend

BeQuiet!, which I don’t need to introduce here, launched its top-end Dark Rock Elite cooler early this year. Along with it, the Dark Rock Pro 5 was also released, but it has remained somewhat in the shadow of its elite sibling, which I would like to correct today. I firmly believe that the fifth gen of the Dark Rock Pro will successfully build on the previous versions, which have always been known for their uncompromising cooling performance and quiet operation. PCCooler CPS DS360-BK – New king of liquid coolers?

Although PCCooler operates mainly in the Asian market, the company is trying to establish itself in the rest of the world. So, today I bring you a review of the DS360-BK cooler, which falls into the upper mid-range segment of liquid AIO coolers. One of the interesting features of this cooler is, for example, a display that shows the current CPU temperature or very high quality fans that can rival the absolute best on the market in certain situations. PCCooler CPS RZ820: Against the elite, weighing over 1.8 kg

They were so emphatic about their cooler being optimized for Intel LGA 1700 processors that we had to try it out. And given that the CPS RZ820 is a “hefty chunk” of material, the reference sample selection included the kind of competitive coolers that are at the top of the tower model database. These should give the PCCooler CPS RZ820 a good run for its money. At the same time, this cooler should not be more expensive. 1. We will find out relatively soon. We will test the Assassin IV VC Vision cooler in September, on LGA 1700. The comparison won’t be who knows how massive, it’ll be a kind of… short-term transitional methodology (on the way to a long-term one – on LGA 1851 and AM5), but I have the “basic” Assassin IV cooler, Dark Rock Elite, MA824 Stealth, both NH-D15 G1 and NH-D15 G2 HBC and one more surprise for measuring here. 🙂
