Metro Exodus Benchmark, BIOS silent
With the silent BIOS, temperatures are slightly higher, which should also mean increased power consumption and, consequently, a slight throttling of clock speeds by GPU Boost. In practice, however, the difference is negligible thanks to the massive heatsink—less than a single frame per second in Metro.
Even the average GPU clock hasn’t changed much, dropping by just 24 MHz.
The power consumption of the card, as measured by monitoring, is virtually identical to the Gaming mode. The average power draw of the entire system doesn’t differ by even a watt, which is less than the typical measurement deviation.
The only noticeable changes are in the temperatures of the chip, memory and in fan speeds. Due to a differently tuned fan curve based on temperature, the fans slowed down slightly. As a result, the temperatures of both the memory and the chip increased by 4–5°C, which, even at 67°C, is way below the temperature limit.
Fan speeds vary between 1,200 and 1,300 RPM, depending on the current load and chip temperature.
