Graphics cards from the latest generation are still pricey, but more affordable models have become easier to find in stores. The Radeon RX 9070 Gaming OC is one of the more reasonably priced options. It uses the same cooling and board layout as the more powerful Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC, but thanks to lower power consumption, it runs cooler and quieter—making it a more compelling choice for many users.
F1 24, 3840 × 2160, BIOS Performance
The next tests come from the F1 24 benchmark at 3840 × 2160 resolution with Ultra settings. This benchmark consists of five laps on the Singapore circuit in wet conditions. Unlike other benchmarks, this is a sustained load – there’s no drop in demand between laps, keeping the card thoroughly warmed up.
The average chip clock hovered around 2408 MHz.
Once again, the card’s power consumption stays right at its power limit.
The GPU hotspot remains below 90°C, with fans hovering around 1,700 RPM, and temperatures stay under 90°C. Still within thermal limits – though, for comparison, the larger Sapphire Pure RX 9070 fared a few degrees better at lower noise levels.
As for fan speeds: they’re higher than most Radeon 9070 and 9070 XT models we’ve tested. But given the smaller impeller diameter, the noise isn’t as bad as the RPM numbers might suggest.
