DeepCool AN600 review – When size matters…

This year is slowly but inevitably coming to an end, but I have managed to prepare one more article for you. Today we’re going to veer away from high-end and premium coolers the size of wardrobes to small coolers, which unfortunately I’ve never paid as much attention to as they probably deserve. So today we’re going to take a closer look at DeepCool’s AN600 low profile cooler, which is particularly suited to HTPC or SFF builds due to its size.

Why is there a missing value in the cooler chart? Either because the cooler could no longer handle the load in the specified mode, or because the fan could not be slowed down to the required level, typically the mode with the lowest noise level. Then there are cases for which we did not test the cooler at 125 W at all (and the graphs only show the results of the higher thermal load, 210 W). This refers to “optional” cooler configurations with a modified fan setup that is different from the factory one (for example, having one fan instead of two, or having completely different fans mounted on the heatsink of the cooler).

How a CPU Cooler Works. Intended for Secondary Schools

The purpose of a CPU cooler is to transfer enough heat away from the processor so that it can operate within its optimal parameters, for example clock speeds. These are only achieved within the expected range if the processor, in combination with the cooler being used, does not heat up more than is desirable for achieving attractive performance. Yes, everything usually revolves around speed, but that is also associated with factors such as power consumption. Read more “How a CPU Cooler Works. Intended for Secondary Schools” »

Computex 2026: New Hardware Outside the Main Spotlight

Computex is not just for the industry giants. Alongside major manufacturers, smaller brands regularly showcase unconventional designs and innovative engineering to capture attention. Some of these concepts prove to be developmental dead ends, while others pioneer features that later integrate into mainstream products. Even if not every innovation succeeds, many certainly deserve recognition. Read more “Computex 2026: New Hardware Outside the Main Spotlight” »

DeepCool AK700 Digital NYX: Single Thicker Tower (with a Display)

A relatively thick tower and as many as seven heatpipes. The fin surface area of the DeepCool AK700 Digital NYX is quite large, even though it is cooled by a single fan. This may be attractive for those who prefer tower coolers (typically over liquid coolers) but still want the best possible memory compatibility, which many dual‑tower designs obstruct.
