Explore Maker Faire 2025 with us: when technology meets creativity

At the Brno Exhibition Centre, Maker Faire Brno 2025 gathered hobbyists, makers, students, schools, makerspaces, and companies. Robotics, drones, 3D printing, electronics, and space research projects dominated. Visitors saw everything from ideas and prototypes to finished products. Alongside ran GameDev Connect for game development, featuring Czech studios and indie creators.

We say goodbye to the Brno Maker Faire in the pavilion’s second wing, which hosted both small and large game developers. The gaming section also featured major studios. Bohemia Interactive showcased the educational platform EnGu (focused on creating simple 3D games, complete with PC stations). GIANTS Software had a recruitment and presentation stand for Farming Simulator 25 with a playable demo. Hangar 13 / 2K Czech exhibited a panel for the project Mafia: The Old Country and demonstrated the studio’s current work.

The independent scene was represented by GameDev Connect, featuring playable builds of Czech titles: Mashinky, Garden of Ants, Grayton the Detective, and Polylithic. The presentations were focused on gathering feedback and testing prototypes directly with visitors.

They were complemented by schools and courses focused on game development: SPŠE Ostrava and SŠUD a VOŠ Brno (Game Art) with demonstrations of student projects and information about their study programs. The entire zone was conceived as a mix of recruitment, education, and testing games in various stages of development.
