The GeForce RTX 5060 and 8 GB RTX 5060 Ti have come under the heaviest fire in Nvidia’s new RTX 50 series. Still, many customers go for them – whether by choice or budget. If you’re among them, pay attention: Gigabyte’s RTX 5060 Gaming OC doesn’t try to impress with lighting effects, but for a small extra cost, it offers excellent performance thanks to a large heatsink allowing unobstructed airflow through half of the card.
Cyberpunk 2077, RT Medium, 2560 × 1440 (Silent)
We again start with operational tests of Cyberpunk 2077 using RT Medium settings at 2560 × 1440 resolution. Eight consecutive benchmark runs were performed. The 4K results follow below.
The average frame rate was actually higher here, though this is likely a measurement error rather than a real performance gain. The average GPU clock dropped by about 36 MHz.
The average GPU clock speed dipped slightly from 2789 to 2777 MHz. It bottomed out at 2745 MHz and peaked at 2790 MHz.
The card once again operated right at its 155 W power limit.
With lower fan speeds, temperatures climbed to 72 °C. Memory temperatures held at 76 °C, occasionally spiking to 78 °C. Both values are still quite reasonable considering the small 8 cm fans spinning at just 1250 RPM.
In return for tolerating slightly higher temperatures, the card delivers noticeably quieter operation—at 1250 RPM, noise levels drop to around 30 dBA. The fans themselves are practically inaudible.
Once again, the GPU reported hitting the voltage limit as the reason for clock throttling.

Now for the 4K graphs under the same settings. One of the test runs crashed here as well.
The next graph clearly shows that when the GPU isn’t under load, it consistently holds its maximum clock speed.
The power consumption graph again shows the chip isn’t operating at full capacity.
Lower power draw translates directly into lower temperatures.
And that naturally impacts fan speeds, which are temperature-controlled.
Once again, voltage remains the primary limiting factor.
