If you’d like to use more demanding ray tracing features on lower-end cards, you can enable FSR or DLSS, which renders frames at a lower sample count and reconstructs them to the target resolution using upscaling—better described as super resolution. For Ultra and RT Ultra, we choose the higher-quality Balanced mode; for RT Overdrive with path tracing, we use FSR in Performance mode.

HWiNFO Now Shows Temps of Individual Video Memory Chips

Not long ago, HWiNFO gained the ability to monitor GPU hotspot temperatures—local hotspots with significantly higher temps than the average having been reported by Nvidia chips. This has been followed by another improvement in graphics card temperature monitoring. You will now be able to look at the temperatures of all memory chips on the card, which can reveal cooling problems in much the same way as the GPU hotspot temperature.   1. Honeslty, with how slow advancement in this tier is, there’s a very good argument for getting the Nitro on build so the thing will live as long as possible.
