High cooling efficiency is the foundation, but with the BioniX P14 A-RGB fans, Arctic has also made efforts on other fronts. In addition to the clever daisy-chaining method (with the aim of reducing cabling to a minimum), this includes, for example, illumination as intense as possible. The light is guided not only through the entire impeller, but also through the surface of the frame, from the side. There are light guides in these areas as well.
Results: Frequency response of sound w/o obstacles
Measurements are conducted using TrueRTA, which captures audio data across 240 frequency bands within the 20–20,000 Hz range. To facilitate comparisons between articles, we extract and present the dominant frequency from each of three spectral bands: low (20–200 Hz), mid (201–2000 Hz), and high (2001–20,000 Hz) in standardized bar graphs.
However, for an even more detailed analysis of the sound expression, it is important to perceive the overall shape of the graph and the intensity of all frequencies/tones. If any aspects of the graphs or data tables are unclear, detailed interpretation guidelines are provided in this article.
Most fan-related acoustic activity occurs within the 70–7000 Hz range. Frequencies above 7000 Hz typically represent electromagnetic interference from the test environment, while the lowest bands below 70 Hz may also include such noise, albeit mixed with aerodynamic sound. Although we could exclude these frequency extremes, they are retained to detect and visualize potential anomalies.

Hey, it might be an issue on my end but several pages of this test don’t load correctly on two devices of mine. Apart from that, thanks a lot for the test. It did perform exceptionally well in the hwbusters-test, too.
Personally, I would like to see a test of the “Noiseblocker NB-eLoop X B14-P ARGB”, since I own several of them. However, testing them probably wouldn’t be interessting to you, since they are really old and I know only of one vendor still selling them

They used to cost 25 or even 30€ per fan, if I remember correctly. I think, the noiseblocker fans were one of the first to use an outer ring on the impeller.

The NB-eLoop X B14-P ARGB is definitely worth testing, of course, but our capacity… Anyway, one Noiseblocker fan will definitely appear in our tests down the line, as it has been planned for quite some time and we already have the samples. 🙂
