Scythe Fuma 3 bonus tests: Third fan and same rotation

Results – 39; 42 and 45 dBA

What impact does adjusting the fan configuration have on the efficiency and acoustic profile of the Scythe Fuma 3 cooler? We report on the possible changes in the additional tests, where in one of the modes, the heatsink is supplemented with a third fan and in the other we replaced the low-profile fan with a thicker model, but at the same time we deprived the cooler of one of the advertised advantages – the counter-rotating fans.

Results – 39; 42 and 45 dBA

Why is there a missing value in the cooler chart? Either because the cooler could no longer handle the load in the specified mode, or because the fan could not be slowed down to the required level, typically the mode with the lowest noise level.

Noctua: New 140 mm fans to premiere on a CPU cooler

Noctua’s long-awaited next-gen fans in the 140mm format have experienced a setback in their planned release, but they also haven’t. In addition, it’s also been somewhat declassified which of the “older” projects is nearing completion. Read more “Noctua: New 140 mm fans to premiere on a CPU cooler” »

Display on a CPU cooler: DeepCool AK620 Digital preview

For coolers (but also cases) with the Digital attribute, DeepCool creates a built-in display. Its implementation is minimalist in spirit, doesn’t increase the price significantly, and can be considered useful. With regard to monitoring CPU temperatures and load intensity, it’s a thematic value added, which we’ll now look at in the context of the powerful AK620 (Digital) dual-tower cooler.
