ROG Strix GeForce RTX 5070 Ti OC Ed. Review: Top of Asus’s Lineup

The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB OC Edition targets enthusiasts of premium products. It impresses with its refined design, significantly oversized cooling, and ARGB lighting that stands out in a glass case. Extras include headers for system fans and a fifth display output. It offers a Q mode for quiet cooling fans and gives tuners ample headroom for boosting performance and and fine-tune acoustics.

Clocks, Temperatures & Fan Speeds—F1 24 (Quiet)

Further tests are again from the F1 24 benchmark at 3840 × 2160 resolution with Ultra settings. This involves a benchmark with five laps on the Singapore map in wet conditions. Unlike other benchmarks, this is a sustained load; there is no drop in load between test cycles, and the card remains warmed up the entire time.

Performance in quiet mode is only marginally lower.

The average GPU clock is 2797 MHz, which means a drop of only 23 MHz.

The card’s power draw according to monitoring (light green) is about 5 W lower, at around 288 W; the total average PC power draw more or less mirrors this difference.

The average temperature of the warmed-up chip reaches a maximum of 69.0 °C according to monitoring, with the memory reaching 70 °C. Nice result for cooler with fans running at 1420 rpm.

Peak fan speeds were around 1420 RPM, corresponding to a noise level of about 36.3 dBA.

According to the diagnostics, clock speeds are again hitting the power limit.
