DeepCool wasn’t afraid to experiment and moved the intake fan to the exhaust position in their line of the most powerful tower CPU coolers (Assassin). This was done for the sake of, among other things, 100% memory compatibility, which is very rare in wide coolers. There are a lot of droning or downright rumbling fans out there, but none have been as popularized by this sound profile as the Arctic P12. Recently, a controversy has flared up on the web surrounding Asus motherboards. It is related to the issues of Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs killed by excessive VSoC voltage, which was previously set too high by Asus boards (not just Asus ones though). Asus received further complaints after providing a fix as a beta BIOS update that was not officially covered by warranty. With the Mobius 120 OC fan, Cooler Master could prove that it has worked on and avoided the rookie mistakes of older models. Partly yes, it removed some flaws, but it added (or strengthened) others in the process. Still, the current most expensive 120 mm CM fan has one ace up its sleeve, for which it will be extremely attractive in some use cases. Android phones are dominated by Qualcomm, but it is closely followed by MediaTek, which has already achieved similarly significant market shares, but lacks a comparable positioning in the highend and flagship mobile phone segment. We consider the Corsair AF120 Elite to be one of the most pleasant surprises of last year when it comes to fans. There wasn’t much to complain about with the simple but effective design… Someone may have missed the lighting though. The “RGB” model added this after some time. However, this is not the only change, there are more and these include, for example, higher speeds. However, the wide range (with low minimum speeds) remains. The “400” model with RGB lighting already costs over a hundred euros, but you don’t just pay for attractive visuals. There are up to four fans, three of which are behind a well ventilated mask. Noctua’s May product roadmap does not bring good news. Everything we’ve been waiting for is being pushed back. Even one indefinite delay has been dropped. Today I would like to introduce you to the Lumen S28 RGB liquid all-in-one cooler from Fractal Design. This cooler attracts with its discreet and simple design, which can be easily enlivened with RGB LEDs and uses an atypical build with a pump in the radiator. So the question remains whether this solution is an effective enough alternative against conventional AIO coolers with a pump directly in the block, which of course I intend to test in today’s review. It’s remarkable what DeepCool has managed to get into the new CC360 (WH) ARGB cases, which have a retail price of just 55 EUR. It comes with three lighted fans and you also have the option of installing a powerful cooler (including a 360mm liquid cooler). The only thing that won’t fit are ATX motherboards. Support is up to MicroATX format, and DeepCool is thus looking to expand the lower tower case segment, in which there is relatively little choice. For a long time they were missing in our test database, but now we are adding them – the results of a GeForce RTX 4090. When it comes to gaming performance, graphics cards with AD102 GPUs have no competition, but it often costs an extreme 450 W. The Gigabyte Windforce cooler handles such an onslaught by a wide margin though, on top of, and now hold on to your hats, non-loud coils, somewhere on the level of the RTX 3060 (Ti). Really. Philips offers up to four different OLED models, and after the second highest (907), the cheaper model numbered 807 has made its way to us. However, to avoid repeating the same test over and over again, this time we’ll also focus on DTS Play-Fi technology, using the TAW6205 wireless speaker. Against expectations, Intel will start manufacturing processors at TSMC. Similar diversification may occur with AMD, who relied almost entirely on TSMC lately. But according to unofficial reports, the company will start manufacturing some of its chips at Korea’s Samsung, much like Nvidia recently did with some of its GPUs. Last week, cases of destroyed V-Cache using Ryzen 7000 “X3D” CPUs and even a burned socket on the board (the dead CPU probably started drawing excessive current from the VRM through the pins). At first it wasn’t clear if it wasn’t a result of manual overvolting, but AMD announced that they have found the cause of the problem and are releasing board BIOS updates to protect the CPUs from damage, so definitely update.
